I ate here a couple times several years ago, and thought it was pretty good. But I've been back a couple times in the last few weeks, and I really like it. It's a lot like Sigfried's downtown, but a restaurant setting which is nice. The sour beer is really good. The calamari and other appetizers are great. The brats, spaetzle, sauerkraut, french dip sandwich and french onion soup... All of it is great.

Excellent place to go grab a beer and some food with friends in a very relaxed atmosphere. It's a big place, so usually not a long wait. Their beer is good, but not excellent. The food is also good, but not excellent. Perhaps a result of a big menu with lots of different items, rather than focus on a smaller menu of specialties.

Local brewery and German food. I had the beef stroganoff and it was fantastic. Authentic tasting sauce and phenomenal meat! We ordered strudels for dessert and they were very tasty. The atmosphere is log cabin with tables in close proximity and service and people were very friendly.

But I will definitely be back again and again. I think the place has character..

Food is always excellent here, as is the service (beverages, of course). Opted for patio seating which was lovely, but flies are active this time of year & it seemed no measures were taken to reduce the flies buzzing around patrons. Also, we ordered an appetizer simultaneously with dinner & the dinner was brought out so shortly after the appetizer there wasn't time to have much before the dinner was out. Yes, too fast on the food. Little details like timing can make all the difference. Small adjustments could've put this dining experience over the top. It was already very good.

Took a while to get served after being seated. However everything after that made up for the initial impression. Food was delightful & tasted hand crafted. Beer was to die for, also have a great selection of sizes and a growler to go option!
