There is a down side like most bars that are on State State, it's heavily monitored by local PD, they sit adjacent to Cheers, and at the Carpet Barn Across the Street.

So tonight September 19th my brother and I came to cheers to you to play darts. After playing darts for an hour we decided to change our flights the bouncer came up to us and announced his arrival. Where shortly after said in sorry laughing like it was funny oh your playing darts we thought you were cutting up cocaine. Are you kidding me? First it was clear it was racially profiling us, if it was a few white guys playing darts mind you there is no house darts available it would be ok and second after watching us play darts to even think thats what we were doing is so absurd it's down right rude. How about walking by and just looking not even stating your intentions. No you had to let us know you thought we were doing cocaine when clearly we're here for the dart board. Sure now I know why there's no customers inconsiderate staff chases them off. As you might guess there was no sorry nothing so as we walked out the door still nothing of a apology

Ill be honest, this place has a little bit of a dive bar feeling to it, but karaoke night was awesome! Much less crowded than Highlander so you actually get to sing and the DJ likes to crack wise. I was DD, but everyone in my party seemed very pleased with the prices for drinks. Met some cool people and had a great time singing.

If your looking for great people, a good time & a bang for you buck this is your bar!!

Unfortunately They Will Pull You Over For Anything Once They See You leave But I Call BS Because I Believe That Is Umm Entrapment.

They Handle Drunks, With Expert Care & Have The Nessary Skills To Diffuse A Tense Situation Calmly & Professionally.

Twice I have been with friends that were denied entry for no apparent reason. The two incidents mirror many other reviews I have read, leading me to believe Cheers may have somehow jeopardized their liquor license and because of that they are uptight about letting people in the door. However, it doesn't make sense that 2 of the 3 times I have visited this place, comepletely sober friends of mine with valid IDs, not causing any sort of disturbance have been denied entry. The only time I did gain entry with no issue wasn't anything special. Mediocre service in a generic bar setting. Many better options within very close walking distance. Whiskey Street, White Horse, Jackalope, and the Green Pig are within very close walking distance and are among many other places in the area that would make for a better experience than Cheers.

So Don't Lay In Your Car With The Keys Or Get To Loud & Crazy In The Parking Lot, Like All Bars On State Street The PD, Is Always A few Minutes Away. (Lol Worse Case Scenario There Is A 8 to 10 Ft Brick Fence, That Is To The West & Goes Into Neighborhoods That Are Extremely Hard To Get To By Car). !!Cheers!!

Awesome Deals On Draft Beers, That Are Pumped With Carbon Dioxide,Giving The Beer It's Full Flavor, Tequila Tuesdays ($2), Whisky Wednesdays ($2), Friday Jameson's ($2), Monday Night Football (Winners Board Must Be Present To Win, No Cash Value!), Free Pool On Sunday & Monday, Video Cards, Electronic Bowling, Claw Machines, Karaoke, Live Bands On The Weekends, Outside Patio, Giant Selection Of Music From Classic Rock to New Age Rap. They Only Serve 1 Item of food a day, It varies from Hot Dogs To Nachos for 2$. They Also Offer The Luxury Of Having Authentic & Americanized Vietnamese Food, Delivered From PO 33, That Is Conveniently Attached To Cheers To You!!

In 4 Years, I Have Been Pulled Over 12 Times By Local PD, Just Leaving The Parking Lot.

My Family Has Been Regulars For The Past Decade & In All My Years Of Going Here I Have Never Seen A Bartender, Be Rude Or Disrespectful, Unless They Were Extremely Provoked.

Amazing atmosphere. Generally not crowded. Weekends are an exception though. Not super loud during the week. A great place to just pop in and relax with the regulars.
