I brought my dog in for a dental cleaning. The service I received was excellent . Dr. Llewellyn answered all my questions and concerns prior to and during the procedure . The quoted me a price and it ended up being much lower. The care that my dog Finnegan received from Jennifer during the after care was above and beyond expectations. This staff up front addressed all of my billing charges and went over the medications. I am very pleased with the service and the care that my dog received. I plan on continuing to use them in the future.
They are expensive.. They didn't go over prices with me before charging me.. The vet and staff seemed nice... Just very expensive for having nothing done except antibiotic injection and lots of pain meds...
The thing is, it was not my Vet I was put on the phone with. It was someone I was not familiar with. I then began to explain to him what was up, letting him know about our appointments and how the vet had told us what to do and the plan he had set up. He told me to wait while he looked us up. After 5 minutes he gets back on, and starts to tell me how they have not seen us in 10 months. I tried to tell him about what the other vet had set up, but he was intolerant to anything I said. After getting a little frustrated I grabbed the Vet’s business card who had done the surgery and was treating her for the cancer. I asked him about this guy by name and he said “He is not here” I asked several times what was up, was he off, on vacation? etc… After pressuring him more he admitted that VET had left the practice. He then told to set up an appointment, he quoted me a price and told me they were booked out till next week. Lets just say this left a bad taste in my mouth, kind of like old sour chicken livers in a pile of &^%$.
Alkor Cresta Veterinary Hospital is not the place to take your pets. They are dishonest and a little ungracious with peoples feelings and discourteous with peoples time. I called to talk to the Vet that was treating our pug for cancer. I called in the morning to talk to him about her condition and see if it was time, ”Just like he told me to do” weeks before. The lady at the desk told me he would call me back. I waited all day as my baby girl got worse and worse. Her belly was just turning bright red and started to blister, she was in pain and we could just feel it. This is my baby girl. After about 6 hours of not hearing from him I called them back and after waiting on hold for 10 minutes I finally got someone on the other end of the phone.
I won't ever come back here! The vet Dr. Hutsenpiller is unsympathetic and rude. Made me feel like a bad dog mom when I would do anything for my pups! Soooo rude! Made an already stressful situation worse!
We had to put our pug down today. It was awful and a very hard thing to do. Emotional to say the least. We are still a mess over having to do that. We used a different clinic who was sympathetic to our pugs needs. All i can say is that clinic is on top of it. They helped us and not only took care of us they did it with respect. It was less money then i expected and I will be giving them 5 stars and letting them know how amazing they are. If anyone wants to know the name of the other place just email me.
I have been going to Alcor Cresta for a long time with different pets that I have had over the years. They have always been very kind to me and good with my animals from the very beginning. My most recent experience was with my cat DayZ who has the onset of kidney disease and he had stopped eating so I was fearing the worst. They were booked but said if I came in first thing the next day there was a good chance that I would be able to get in.Dr. Tim LLewellyn was just as concerned as I was and ran a bunch of tests and it turned out to not be as serious as I had feared. He was very compassionate and followed up with a phone call after a few days to see how DayZ was doing. Every experience I have had with them from the staff, techs and all the doctors has been great.
